http://RTR.org | Terrorists struck the Jefferson Memorial on May 28th in an apparently coordinated effort. Early reports revealed this coordinated attack carries the signature of past Al Qaeda attacks using multiple targets and unrelated agents. However, it is unclear if dance attacks affected other national monuments but authorities have been placed on high alert.
Law Enforcement officers on duty at the time acted swiftly to diffuse the dance threat before damage could be done to the memorial and the tourists at the site. The terrorists are now in the custody of Washington DC officials and are being interrogated.
Eyewitnesses report scuffed elbows and two iPods containing multiple tracks from Jordan Page's new album "Liberty" were damaged as a result of the attacks.
This report is ongoing - for more information or to demand the release of the Terrorists contact the authorities at (202) 610-8703 and the US Park Police: 202-610-7500

This is truly a travesty, if this how you treat non-violent free citizens then why were there no riot police in front of the White House when a "random" crowd gathered setting off fireworks after the supposed assassination of Bin laden was announced? Either way is wrong. Goes to show that you will not be harrassed or detained if you are in-line with what the "powers that be" wish for you. I truly believe in a nonviolent revolution, however as it has been stated before "Those that make peaceful revolution impossible, make violent revolution inevitable". God bless us all, with liberty and freedom. less

Not until that thud of their front door being busted down with a battering ram and the flash bang of the grenade detonating in their living room. At that point they may begin to realize the seriousness of the situation.
But, by then, it will be too late.

You, apparently, are of the generation programmed to believe that officers of the law are superior to non-officers. The truth is, they work for us and are employed to assist the public. Our attitude toward them goes a long way in establishing the relationship. We don't ask permission to do things which have no bearing on the well being of others. There are no overlords here in the U.S.. We are our own lords. less

Do you think that terrorists dance before they attack? Do you think it is possible that terrorists might use a mundane distraction like this to draw all the cops to Jefferson Memorial and then attack people at the Lincoln Memorial? If police are to protect, they need to keep their eyes on the ball; like in boxing, you don't pay attention to someone's hands but rather their legs and shoulders to know where the punch is coming from. Would they have pounced on someone singing the Star Spangled Banner? Where is the line of acceptable behavior (for citizens or police)? less

And the dance may have been allowed to occur once security was sure there was nothing other than a harmless dance planned. People have to be responsible for their actions and choices, and stop blaming everyone else for taking actions to respond to their actions and choices. Bottom line - the dancers were requested by police security to stop, and that was their responsibility to just stop. Negotiate after that, but stop first. Actions like these cost us more freedoms, because a law will be created that no dancing or singing is allowed, where it might have been encouraged as long as there was assurance made that no harm was intended for the monument or the people in it. We need to stop blaming everyone else for the choices we make, and take responsibility for our choices and consequences of them. When we don't, we do more to limit our freedoms. I.e., you may hav... less

In addition, it is every U.S. citizens duty to resist unjust and unconstitutional laws, because the government is OF and BY the people. Just because someone was sent to represent us and passes a law, does not mean those people are intelligent enough or honest enough to refrain from passing laws in violation of the universal rights of the people, thus those laws (and judgements) passed in violation of those instances have to be challenged.

Did you see how the cop grabbed the camera guys wrist and he said, "hey, whoa, I've had 2 surgeries!" The "Authorities" are way too quick to become physical, which they did as soon as the guy says something about "we have a RIGHT to express our freedoms!" (para), I made a post just now on the new Code Pink video about my feeling on this from a more personal level. The point is, it's not ok to violate someone's physical body, especially without just cause! If an officer fears for their life, absolutely ,if someone starts running from them, maybe, but it's NOT OK to tackle people for non violent protesting!! Have you watched "Cops" lately?! ! They don't hide it! It's a common police practice unfortunately. less

If they were terrorists and the police backed off they would loose their jobs and eveyone would be all over them for not doing their job of not holding peoplel accountable for following police directives. Men and Women serving our country did not die to ensure the freedom of people to be rude, disrespectful, and ignoring of direction of police and other authorities who place themselves in harms way every day to protect the public. The lives of the dancers were not negatively impacted by the request to not dance in a national monument. I'm all for personal freedoms, but I don't recall seeing one of our guaranteed freedoms to be free to ignore police directive. They were free to leave the monument and dance outside. less

We are taking absolutely no action to protect this country from a nuclear attack by rogue nations, either by suitcase nuke, or, by the much more damaging missile launched EMP nuclear detonation.
However, we can spend endless sums of money to suppress free speach at a monument to the very founding principles of this nation.
The terrorists have won. less
